Insert the new bolt into the opening on the edge of the door and fasten it to the door with the provided screws. Place your head near the frame and tap it with the end of a screwdriver until you hear the sound change. Insert the new lock assembly into the door with the slanted side of the lock facing the direction that the door swings closed. This indicates there is no glass behind the frame.
