Valleys will be open so flash them before hand with metal or two layers of roll roofing the first an 18 inch wide strip and the second 36 inches wide. For extra durability you may install roll roofing in two layers. This should give you a 1 inch overhang on. Nail only its top edge the part that is bare of mineral coating.

Position and roll out the roofing carefully because it is not easy to reposition then press it into the cement. Coat the top edge with a 4 to 6 inch wide layer of roofing cement and apply the next courses in the same way. Roll out the first sheet and ensure that it lies flat and even. Place the top edge of the roofing along the chalk line.

To install roll roofing you ll need to cut the material into long strips of the correct length for your roof and lay it flat. Install the first strip upside down. A gas burner is held so that it warms up the ground surface and the lower surface of the material. For this heat up the gas burner and push it to the edge of the site where it will be fixed.

Fix edge fabric roll. The strips should always be horizontal. The canvas is rolled up into a roll back to the point of attachment. It also helps if you first install a layer of roofing felt.
