With the tub in place finish off the wall with drywall and paint.
How to install a tub next to a concrete wall.
Push the tub into the enclosure and mark the top of the flange on the wall studs with a pencil.
Measure and mark the location for the top of the ledger usually about 1 inch below the first mark.
Place a heavy duty dropcloth over the floor and protect or remove other bathroom fixtures.
If your remodel includes installation of a new bathroom you ll have to install plumbing but unlike new construction a remodel involves adapting to existing plumbing.
Install them about every 6 inches working your way around the tub flange.
Using the tub shower surround carton for a template mark holes where the showerhead faucet handles or spout will protrude through the wall.
Step 5 insert a new threaded drain down into the drain hole and over the male threads already sticking up.
The fasteners should be flush with the surface.
Next use a drill to screw the surround into each wall stud.
Place a bead of silicone caulk around the entire perimeter of the tub on the ledge next to the flange.
Secure the flange on all three walls as well as the sides of the tub.
Install blocking for future grab bars while the walls are open.
Caulk the tub to the surround and secure the surround to the studs.

Step 6 lay the carton template on top of the panel for that wall and use a hole saw or a jigsaw to cut out the holes.

The first step in installing a tub is to set in place a ledger board that supports the edges of the tub that contact the walls of the tub enclosure.
The next step is demolition.

Cut 2 4 nailers the length of the opening slip them behind the drywall edges.
Secure the panels to the wall framing with galvanized backerboard screws.
Instead use the head of the fastener to hold the flange down.
Reinstall the baseboard and finish moulding around and in front of the tub.
Check the other side of the tub walls and remove any breakables or pictures the walls shake during demolition.
Then carefully set the surround on top of the silicone caulk.
Screw the tub flange to the wall studs with the cordless drill and drywall screws.
