How to hang sliding closet doors on track.
Wiggle the door until the pivot snaps into the hole.
After the doors are hanging install the center guide on the floor to keep the doors in line.
Attach the hangers to the tops of the doors.
Insert the wheels on the top of the first door into the top track.
A 2 x 6 will work for most homes it should be at least as thick as the trim.
Pull a chalk snap line between the two front marks stretch the line taut and snap the string to create a line between the marks.

Measure the distance between corresponding front and rear setback marks.
Hold the door so the top is tilted backward.
Hold the inside panel at a 15 degree angle as you engage the rollers onto the track.

If your doors hang from a top rail and do not have a track on the floor then you need to either replace or tighten down the floor guides.
The runner is what the wheels roll along so the door can slide back and forth.
See if the screws holding the guides down need tightening to be more secure.
Tip the doors to hook the hangers onto the track.
Hanging the doors is easier if you have a helper hold the doors while you guide the rollers onto the track.
It should equal the track s width.
It also creates space for the new sliding door away from the wall to clear the trim.
Once the door is approximately under the hole in the track release the pivot.
