Adhere the wood to the walls starting from the bottom remove all baseboards and start placing your wood as originally planned out when you were marking the project. Start in the middle of the wall and draw a straight and level line across the entire surface. Maple or oak perhaps old flooring that is being reused on the wall. It is easiest to start at eye or shoulder level.

Clean old barn boards with a hard bristle or steel brush. I used this nailer because the nail holes are not very big and they blend well with the reclaimed wood. The reclaimed wood wall cost me about 55 because i already had all the stain. Here is the final product and i am super happy with it.

Clean and prep the boards. The shiplap wall was only about 60. I put at least fifteen nails in each piece of wood. Always make sure these boards are straight and level by using your level with each row of wood installed.

I also did a shiplap wall in my laundry room. Reclaimed barn boards give a rustic look in your home. Various stains and rags to create the reclaimed wood look. Grab a pencil or a sharpie and a level to make a reference line if not using a laser level.

Due to the nature of reclaimed wood there may be small gaps that are visible between the panels once installed. The planks are real reclaimed wood but they are super thin and are applied directly to the wall with a peel and stick backing. I was able to complete both half walls in my 144 square foot shed shop in a few hours after my full time job. I used a finishing nailer to nail the wood onto the wall.

They could not be easier to install.
