If you haven t noticed plates platters and lids are pretty much my go to wall art.
The best way to do this is to first attach the plate hanger to the plate and lie the plate on a flat surface.
It all started because i could find plates at yard sales and thrift stores sometimes for as low as 10 cents a piece.

Now let me enter a disclaimer.
Tie the ribbon securely with a double knot or bow.
Install the decorative hook in the desired location and hang the ribbon loop over the hook.
Dot glue on the back of the plate on the left and the right.
Thread the ribbon through the pierced openings around the plate and tie it with a loop that is long enough usually about 4 to 6 inches to allow the plate to hang flat against the wall.
Press one piece of felt onto the ribbon on top of the glue.
Hang when the glue is cured.
The key to working with these hangers is to bend the top of the hanger so that your plate will lay flat on the wall once hung.
To keep the ribbon ends from fraying trim them with pinking shears or dab with clear nail polish.
Nor am i suggesting that you hang them over a crib.
Your beautiful home does not need wires showing on the things you hang on your walls.
Nor am i recommending that you hang plates by this method in a high traffic area where they could get bumped.
