Have the window box and brackets handy already painted or stained.
How to hang a wooden window on a wall.
If your home has double hung or sliding windows measure down 1 inch from the underside of the windowsill directly below one side of the window frame and make a pencil mark to locate the top of the bracket.
Hang your mirror on the wall above a console dresser or buffet.
Fasten the mounting bracket onto the side of the house with a drill and screw.
If there are 3 holes use a drill to insert the screw into the middle hole on your bracket.
For an out swinging window measure down 6 to 8 inches.
If you give a hook a small tap with a hammer then it bites into the wood enough that you can usually screw it in by hand without drilling a guide hole first.
I originally bought some picture hangers for the back of each window that nailed into place.
I used a couple of different things depending on the size of the window.
Or hang it on any wall at normal window height to bounce light around the room.
If the window turned mirror matches the installed windows in your room you can even dress them all with matching window treatments to create the illusion of more windows.
Let me walk you through how i hung them.
Place the bracket under the window right under your pencil mark.
Listen for a hard solid sound which indicates a stud inside the wall.
On your mounting bracket you will see 2 3 holes that your screws go in.
Ok so thats what the wall looks like.
