How to get a sliding wooden door back on track.
Apply an even coat of wood finish to board using a paintbrush.
This will release the rollers from the channel and allow you to remove the door.
Lift the door up away from the channel opening.
Repeat with the other wheel then angle the bottom of the door out and remove the door.
Rub paste wax into the slot of the sliding cabinet door track using a cloth rag.
Hook the top rollers back into the top track.
Straighten the track with a block of wood if it s bent.
If so lift the door and push it in towards the closet.
Work the door slowly into the opening in this manner.
Hold the door at or around a 15 to 25 degree angle.
Angle the bottom of the door toward you while you let it down and the wheels should hook right onto the track.
Set the door back on the bottom track and tilt it up.
Afterwards place another block of wood onto the track perpendicular to the first block and use a hammer to hit the top of the second piece of wood.
Moving the door when the back side is sliding on the ground is a little difficult.
4 gently lift the door up while allowing the track wheels to disengage.
Release the door and let it swing gently back to the vertical position.
Get a helper to lift the door.
Allow the finish to dry for at least 4 hours and apply a final coat.
Work a flat head screwdriver under one of the wheels lift it and angle the door slightly until the wheel clears the track.
Insert the door s wheels into the double track inside the upper door jamb lifting it as far as it will go.

Bring the door to within a few inches of the strike side jamb.
Brace the door with your body and reattach the head stop.

Take one step back while pulling the door with you.
If you notice the track is uneven with the floor place a block of wood into the left or right side of the track parallel to the its direction.
Try holding your foot against the bottom of the door and pull gently on the top of the door to lift the back side.
