Cut and fold pan flashing to fold up the back of the chimney and over the sidewall trim.

Secure the cap flashing by inserting the flashing s flange all the way into the mortar.
Trace the outline of the base of the rubber boot onto the metal roof with a pencil.
Fit the front cap flashing around the front of the chimney.
Apply sealant to sidewall flashing where pan flashing tabs will overlap.
At the sides of the chimney extend the flashing out past the nearest formed ridge fold it over the ridge and then fasten through the flashing at the high point of the ridge with neoprene gasketed roof screws.
Repeat the procedure around each side of the chimney.
Use metal screws or nails to hold the overlaps together then apply caulking material on the seams to seal them off.
Pan flashing should extend at least 12 inches up the roof plane.
Trim the flashing in the center of the rubber boot with a roofing knife so it fits snugly around the pipe.
Bend the cap flashing around the front of the chimney.
Remove the rubber boot.
Drill a hole on each side of the chimney front.
Install two layers of butyl tape sealant under perimeter of pan flashing.
Hammer the plastic anchors into the holes.
If you install a number of flashing segments you need to overlap these segments at about 4 to 6 inches from the previous sheet to prevent gaps.
