How to fix sliding closet doors bottom.
Most sliding doors have a mechanism called an adjusting screw located at the bottom of the door ends.
Adjust the top pivot bracket.
Give the screw a clockwise turn and test to see whether the door slides easier.
Turning this screw raises or lowers the roller.
To make space to maneuver it you will loosen the brackets on the back.
Here we re working with wooden bifold doors.
To start loosen the top pivot bracket setscrew with a screwdriver.
Sliding closet doors fall off tracks.
Stand back five feet or so and examine the gaps on the top and bottom.
Slide the bracket in the track until the door is parallel to the jamb.
There should be an even and uniform separation all the way along the top and bottom.
Unscrew the brackets on the top of your doors to loosen them.
Then wipe it with a damp rag.

Step 1 clean the track a dirty obstructed or damaged track can make a sliding closet door jump off its track.
To fix this issue first try vacuuming up debris and grime from the track with a crevice attachment.
Use the philips or flathead screwdriver to loosen each screw on the brackets at the top of your door.
Adjust the bottom bracket.
Measure the door to jamb clearance.
To take the door out you ll lift it out from the bottom track.
If the door becomes even harder to open turn the screw in the opposite direction.
If you see an uneven gap it will require you to raise or lower one of the sides.
