Raise it just enough to clear the track and roll smoothly.
This may or may not provide a temporary solution.
Rollers that are underneath the sliding door inside the frame tend to wear out making the slider hard to open.
This will retract the rollers and make the door flush with the track.
These hole are often covered with a plastic plug.
Be sure to brush down both sides of the track as well as help scrub out the dirt that exists in the middle move the door along the track to expose the front scrub move the door back to the closed position scrub and so on.
If the door becomes even harder to open turn the screw in the opposite direction.

Most sliding doors have a mechanism called an adjusting screw located at the bottom of the door ends.
Locate the two adjusting screws at the bottom of the door on the face or edge of the door and pry off the trim caps that cover the screws.
Standard sliding glass doors all have tracks.
The track acts as a guide for the door and also allows roller wheels to help the door run smoothly.
This slows down your door considerably.
Give the screw a clockwise turn and test to see whether the door slides easier.
Remove the door from the track.

The most common homeowner fix is to simply lubricate the roller or track the best you can.
Turning this screw raises or lowers the roller.
Remove the plug and use a screwdriver to tighten and loosen the roller height making very small adjustments and testing each time.
Then remove the door stop at the top of the frame which should be as simple as unscrewing it.
First locate the roller adjustment screws and use a screwdriver to turn the screws counterclockwise.
