How to cut hinge holes in kitchen doors.

This is what you need to do the job.
Doors are usually shorter than the carcass by 2 5 mm at the top and another 2 5 mm at the bottom.
The second mistake is to fail to leave a 1 8 inch to 1 4 inch gap between the doors.

When you see it start to cut the 35mm hole and it s gone in a couple of mm go to quite a high speed keeping firm downward pressure and keep the drill straight without leaning one way or another.

We drill the holes a standard 5mm in from the side of the door so you don t need to measure this.
Almost all kitchens use a standard 35mm concealed hinge so we already know the size of hole to drill.
Once cut we made sure that they fit.
So after measuring the hinge and playing around with scrap wood for the sizing luke realized that the hole was almost exactly the same size as the end of a 2 4.
