Strike the chisel on the score line until the material splits.
Don t force a blade into a cut.
Cut around the entire block with the saw then adjust it so it will cut 1 4 inch to 1 2 inch deeper into the block.
If your cut doesn t need to be exact use a cold chisel and hand sledge to cut the concrete.
For a larger project or more accurate cuts a circular saw with a concrete blade is a good option.
Mark the measurement onto the cinder block in white chalk.

Make a series of passes until you have cut through the concrete block.
