The remote control you keep in your car transmits a signal to a receiver at or adjacent to the door opener motor. Locate your external antenna purple red green gray yellow wire hanging from the operator. Unplug your garage door opener from the outlet to avoid electrocution. While the indicator light is blinking press the button on your remote.

Depress the tabs on the underside of the cover at the back of the unit and remove the cover to expose the antenna connection. The learn led will glow steadily. Program using your garage door opener learn button locate the learn button on the garage door opener. To program a new remote into the system hold the learn button until the indicator light blinks on the opener.

Place a stepladder at the area of the garage door opener. Press and immediately release the learn button.
