Insert the bar protruding from the new deadbolt lock through the channel in the deadbolt itself.
Lock the release lever.
Position the lock mechanism such that the keyhole is vertically aligned.
The side lock will need to be installed on the garage door using 4 bolts.

Repeat to change the code in all additional remotes.
Keep the remote in the house.
Detach the cable from the back of the lock.

Unplug the garage door opener.
Remove the nuts and bolts securing the lock bars to the cylinder with a wrench.
If no holes are present you can drill holes using a hand drill and a metal drill bit.
Grab the pin with a pair of pliers to remove the pin from the shaft.
Place a nail over the pin and tap the nail with a hammer until you expose part of the pin.
Close your garage door and remove your existing garage door lock.
Remove the screws from the old lock on the inside of the door.
First take a trip to your hardware store and select a new lock.
You may also need to use a wire tool or a paper clip.
Use a zip tie to secure the garage door in place.

Locate the lock cylinder on the interior face of the door.

Orient the turn assembly plate such that its top side is at the top.
Use a padlock to lock the garage door from the inside.
Lock the interior door into your house.
