Using the forums i tracked it down to the driver s side power door lock actuator part 72155 s5p a11. The service bulletin addresses the front passenger and left and right rear passenger door locks not working. You can hear the actuator in the door but the door lock tab does not lock or unlock. The electric door lock does not work either with the fob or the electric door lock does not work either with the fob or the button on the drivers door.

Honda has issued a service bulletin 14 083 to address problems with honda crv door locks not working properly on all 2007 09 honda crv vehicles. However there was no complete.
